Poly Bridge

 Poly Bridge

Poly Bridge is a bridge-building simulation-puzzle game, developed by New Zealand-based indie studio Dry Cactus with music by Canadian composer Adrian Talens, where players build bridges for vehicles to cross. Poly Bridge was released fro Microsoft Windows on July 12, 2016, iOS on June 13, 2017. Steel, wood, rope, and cable can be combined and used to strengthen a designed bridge and "hydraulics" are used to move pieces of the bridge. The ga,me is made more difficult with the availability of different building materials of different prices. A sequel to the ame titled Poly Bridge 2 was released on May 28, 2020, for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Gameplay
The objective of the game is for vehicles to transverse over a series of rivers by building bridges. That is done via 2D bridge model by creating a blueprint, and working with the materials which are given at use. Poly Bridge has campaign mode with a series of scenarios that require different things to accomplish and introduce certain geographic features. In each level(more than 100 overall), there are two requirements: the building cost must come in under budget and the bridge has to be strong enough for a specific numbers of cars. There is also a sandbox mode that allows free building without restrictions, where the parameters can be set for creation. There is a variety of vehicles, ranging from motorcycles(fast and light) to dump trucks and cranes(slow and heavy). Since every vehicle has a different body and weight,  that means longer cars may not be able to drive up steep slopes and the structure might need to adapt the situation. The game also features obstacles such as jumps and boats, forcing the player to desire their bridge creatively. A badly built bridge will colapse under the weight of crossing vehicle. The game includes a GIF generator, allowing players to capture certain moments while playing and share them online.

Physics games are everywhere! Although yo may not realize it, we would estimate that around 80% of the games we play on our smartphone (especially Action Games) rely on some sort of physics engine just to function. That being said, it isn't every day you get to see a game that bases itself on physics quite this much.

Poly Bridge (by Dry Cactus) is a game about building bridges - more specifically bridges that don't collapse. Set on a number of different low poly 3D stages, your mission in this game is to build bridges capable of getting a given numbero of cars from one side of a river, cliff, etc. to the other without breaking apart too much.

For anyone who has played bunch of different bridge builder games and can't understand why Poly Bridge costs a whopping Rs.85, we can say, after playing Poly Bridge for 5 minutes you'll soon understand. The level of control you are given in this game is nothing like any other mobile bridge-builder we have ever seen!

Starting with the UI ( User Interface), you are given more control over how you build than ever before. With handy features which can be toggled "on" and "off" like Snap to Grid, Stress Visibility, Auto Triangulate, and Auto Draw, together with some awesome tool's you'll never want to work without again such as rhe Tracing Tool, Batch Select, and more, we could probably fill up an entire article just talking about how to use all the different tools in Poly Bridge.
